I would absolutely recommend Annette's presentation to other schools. She really brings history alive to our students. I love how she encourages the kids to question what they think they know about the past. The kids LOVED being a part of her presentation!"

The presentation was absolutely wonderful. The combination of storytelling, humor, visuals, and props really transported me to the 1940s. The students were totally engaged and discussed the presentation later in the day."

Annette never lost my students’ attention. The stories and artifacts made learning about WWII so much fun! My kids loved it! We talked about it all the way back to the school and then talked more there."

*Why Don't We Just Give the Price? Each school is different. We don't want to announce a rack rate and frighten you away if you have limited resources. There are discounts and alternatives to make Annette's programs accessible to every school, and many of our clients are Title I schools in rural areas. Asking questions doesn't commit you, and we want to hear from you!
Overview: Dressed in period costume, Annette gives an engaging multimedia presentation about kids' and/or teens' lives in World War Two England, inviting comparisons with the American Home Front, and students' lives today. Students learn about air raids, food rationing, the blackout, the evacuation of schoolchildren, and everyday life, with pictures, sounds, hands-on artifacts, a song, readings from Don't Know Where, Don't Know When, and plenty of good humor. Most importantly, Annette models to students how to think globally and critically, and to discover for themselves parallels in the American Home Front of World War II. Connects with: Don't Know Where, Don't Know When (The Snipesville Chronicles, Book 1)
